In all cases, module genes demonstrated the expected correlation patterns. Gene pairs from four well known modules are depicted, demonstrating both a clear positive correlation and association with expected clinical biomarker characteristics. For example, ER+ tumors trended toward over-expression of luminal genes and under-expression of basal genes, whereas ER-/Her2- tumors trended toward over-expression of basal genes. Similarly, Her2+ tumors trended toward over-expression of 17q25 genes. Also as expected, ER-/Her2- tumors tended to have high expression of proliferation genes whereas ER+ tumors had variable expression.
